special attention is given to technology centric platforms
especially on structured ASIC. Indeed, an ASIC designer selects
first its target technology and needs to get promptly a good
expertise on the IP portfolio offered by the technology
owner rather than searching for a specific IP. Therefore D&R
believes that listing the IP based Asic platforms can be
of great help especially for large companies having to promote or
select ASIC platforms for their designers.
The platform
listing is linked to a private IP catalogs under the control of the
platform owners and they can receive confidential data. It is
important to put in place efficient automated Bulk upload
primitives for importing accurate IP data. At least
D&R needs to get the provider help for declaring an IP compliant
with a platform if not yet done
Other categories will be extended and for Core Centric platforms
relevant information about complementary aspects such as design flow
and other resources (Design Kits, Embedded Software libraries) will
be publicized and updated in a close future

data
Under the sponsorship of Tower
Semiconductor the Foundry Corner is
going to a new active phase. To guarantee accurate, certified data
D&R is pushing private Foundry catalogs, under the control this
time of the Foundry itself . Similarly to the platform vendors the
Foundries are invited to feed in the data (namely their ratings ) in
their private catalog for their qualified IPs by an automated
Bulk upload process. Under the initiative of Tower (Tower
Semiconductor Ltd. sponsors the Foundry Corner on D&R Web portal
to enhance their IP portfolio accessibility) efficient
primitives for bulk upload, exhibiting foundry ratings are
operational : Therefore when selecting a foundry on D&R
public site, the visitor is automatically directed towards the
Foundry private actalog.
In parallel should an IP provider get
attention for one of its IP due to a foundry rating he will be
informed.
5. Private catalogs and intranet
services The intranet catalog data feeding service goes
on for D&R major clients. It t is more and more obvious that the
designers are kept within their firewall and internet catalogs or IP
file servers are just not sufficient for providing appropriate
visibility.
Whats new is the increase of the demand for intranet file
download following a corporate agreement; it includes the
procurement support with fro instance the corporate codification
(corporate part numbering and certification report)
The process is deployed for the FPGA vendors in prioriy but
other portfolio agreements may follow

6. D&R lead service for IP /
SOC product and service vendors It is obvious that
derived from the above initiatives the IP provider will benefit from
an increased lead service. Therefore some major D&R
partner providers will receive weekly lead reports split in several
groups: Public web site leads, Private catalog leads, Asic platform
leads, Foundry corner leads, if agrees intranet leads.
The
providers will be able to subscribe for some lead categories
